YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE: 1/3 of the people we talk to at the S.O.S. Help Desk, outside the PACC intake door, decide NOT to leave their pet(s) at PACC. And over 90% of those pets who walk away do not come back to PACC in the near future either. If you would like to join the team, contact us to schedule a couple hours at the desk and then you can attend the 2 hour training on the evening of March 9. We are only operating the Help Desk about 5-6 hours a week and have diverted over 260 animals. More volunteers=more diversions. We need people at the Intake door AND we need people who will follow-up with those we have diverted to offer support services: assist in re-homing, finding owners, and finding needed resources. The next volunteer training will be scheduled soon. Let us know if you’d like to join us. If you can be calm and patient in the face of some very difficult situations and maintain your energy and compassion for that group of people that welcomes our support —- please consider this important work. For more information  or to schedule a visit to the Desk, call 520- 477-7401 or email admin@www.nokillpimacounty.org.
