savethesaveable.com > Saveable Pets in Pima County

The pets on this page are available for Rescue, Adoption and/or Foster Care.

The "Worthy and Waiting" Album features pets most in need within  Pima County’s community of  rescue and shelter organizations.

ALL other pets are located at the municipal shelter, Pima Animal Care Center (PACC) 4000 N. Silverbell
(or in a PACC foster home).

We are not the shelter, you can visit PACC’s official website at www.pima.gov/animalcare.

Contact information for other rescues and shelters is included in each animals post.

Please Note:

An “Urgent” album features animals placed on  short term rescue (STR) at PACC and may be put down if they are not pulled from the shelter by the deadline.

Most dogs and cats at PACC are available to foster, which means you provide temporary care and the shelter continues to be responsible for their medical care until they are ready for adoption.

Many are available for 'foster to adoption' which means you start off as a foster home, with the intention to become an adoptive home once any pending medical treatment is completed  and/or while you make sure the pet is a good fit for your family.

You can call 520- 724-7222 to ask questions about any of the PACC animals, use their ID# when calling to get info.  For more information or to commit to rescuing or fostering,  please contact the PACC Rescue Coordinator at: pacc.rescue@pima.gov or the PACC Foster Coordinator at: pacc.foster@pima.gov.
