ASAVET SPAY/NEUTER CLINICS
February 4th | Check in at 8am | The Animal League of Green Valley
1600 W Duval Mine Rd, Green Valley, AZ | $65 co-pay per pet. | E-collars (cones) required on all dogs $15. If you have a cone, you must bring with you for morning check-in so we can check size is appropriate. Vaccines optional (and only available with surgery): DAPP/PRC and Rabies | Maximum weight 85 lbs for dogs. ONE PERSON PER ANIMAL WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BUILDING. WHEN MOBILE UNIT ARRIVES PLEASE SIGN IN, GET PAPERWORK AND REMAIN IN THE CAR UNTIL YOU ARE CALLED INTO BUILDING.
Litters under 5 months – $10/per animal (if Mom is spayed ($50) at same time)
Annual Limit 3 Pets Per Household
No food after 12AM (the morning of surgery)
Pets under 5mo of age do not need fasted
All dogs must be on a leash or in a pet carrier
All cats must be in a pet carrier
All pets must be a minimum of 2 months old and weigh 2 pounds
1st come 1st serve – Limited to 20-25 surgeries a day. 10-15 dogs depending on size and sex.
Please be respectful and do not push the subject of taking more.

February 13-15, FREE SPAY/NEUTER and VACCINES for unowned community cats and kittens living in Pima County (RESERVE YOUR SPACE by LINK BELOW)
- Pima Animal Care Center’s Biannual Snip and Tip event | 4000 N. Silverbell | Cats and kittens (kittens must weigh at least 1.5 pounds and have a commited caretaker to monitor them after surgery) | Anyone can bring in an outdoor cat in a secure carrier (friendly cats) or a trap (feral/unsocialized cats) | No limit to number of cats | People bringing cats are responsible for returning them to same location they were trapped/picked up | cats will receive S/N, FVRCP and rabies vaccines, microchip, EARTIP and minor medical treatment as appropriate. (a cat who already has an ear tip means they are already altered). Female cats will also recive a tattoo on belly. There are noexceptions/changes to these services | If you need to borrow a trap or carrier for this event, contact PACC Community Cat Program send email to communitycats@pima.gov. Cats should arrive in one cat per carrier | Please sign up for the event at https://waitwhile.com/locations/snipntip and make an appointment for each cat you plan to bring | Surgery drop-off hours are:
• Friday, February 13th, from 3 pm to 6 pm
• Saturday, February 14th, from 7 am to noon
• Saturday, February 14th, from 3 pm to 6 pm
• Sunday, February 15th, from 7 am to noon
You will receive a text and/or call when the cat is ready to be picked up. For cats brought in before 12pm, it will be later the same day. For cats dropped off after 12pm, they will stay overnight and receive surgery the following morning, pick up will be early afternoon after surgery. Cats will need to stay in the carrier or trap for recovery until the day after surgery.

Low Cost Clinics

Clinics may offer additional services such as vaccination, microchipping, nail trims, testing (heartworm, FIV/felv) and even dental cleanings. Some are full service clinics.
Some clinics have additional charges when pet “in heat” or pregnant, additional pain medication, protective e-collars, undescended testicles etc.
Check their websites or call for their hours of operation and a list of services and fees. And to aske about age/weight requirements and other pertinent information.
Base rates range from $35-75 per male cat, $62-95 per female cat, $85 -$150 for male dogs and $95-$265 for female dogs. Dogs in particular will depend on size.

Their spay/neuter rates are slightly higher, especially for larger dogs, but they offer full service care and serve the East side. Vaccines are mandatory here. Dr. Kelly’s is offering financial assistance for spay/neuter services to pet owners in Tucson who rely on government assistance. Call to determine eligibility and schedule an appointment. Additional charges may apply to cover surgery extras. (602) 584-8286

The Animal League of Green Valley
